4. general information on data processing

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you register for an event, various personal data is collected. This data protection notice explains what data we collect and what we use it for.


5. data collection in the context of event registration

a) Type and scope of data processing

As part of the registration process, we collect the data you enter in the form, in particular

  • Surname, first name
  • E-mail address
  • Other event-related information (e.g. company) if applicable

The provision of the data required for registration is necessary to enable your participation in the event.

b) Purpose of the processing

Processing is carried out for the following purposes:

  • Organization and implementation of the event
  • Communication in connection with the event
  • If necessary, creation of participant lists and access control


c) Legal bases

The processing takes place on the basis of:

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract/pre-contractual measures – registration for the event)
  • if applicable, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent for optional processing)

6. recipient of the data

Your data will only be processed within our company by those departments entrusted with the organization and implementation of the event.

In addition, we use external service providers (processors), in particular Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (provision of Microsoft Forms / Office 365 / Microsoft Teams)


7. data transfer to third countries

When using Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Teams, personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address, IP address and communication content) may be transferred to a third country (in particular the USA).

The transfer takes place on the basis of suitable guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR, in particular through the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses. Microsoft is within the scope of the EU -USData Privacy Framework and we have concluded standard contractual clauses.


8. storage period

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to carry out the event and for any necessary follow-up. The data will then be deleted, provided there are no legal retention periods to the contrary.


9. your rights as a data subject

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data at any time. 10. right of appeal to the supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. 11. obligation to provide the data

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Where required for registration for the event, the relevant details are marked as mandatory fields. Participation in the event is not possible without this data.
