From April to September 2017 3con supported the NABU - Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V. (NABU) in a pro bono project to improve the co-operation of boards between the federal state divisions and the national organisation of NABU. 3con facilitated the multi-stakeholder process and summarized the working group results for a concluding large group workshop.
With over 660,000 members and supporters, NABU is the oldest and largest German organisation for the protection of nature. Its inner organisation closely aligns with Germany’s federal structure, i.e. parallel to the national organisation, 15 federal state associations as well as its Bavarian partner association LBV attend the respective federal state governments. In addition to that, honorary campaigners organise themselves in about 2,000 local and regional groups.
